Academic Roots and Clinical Expertise
From his undergraduate days studying Social Psychology to earning his Master of Social Work with a focus on Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, Zach’s academic experience spans a rich tapestry of learning at the University of Utah. His education laid the groundwork for a career centered on understanding the deep-seated complexities of the human mind and the social factors that influence behavior.
Subsequently, Zach’s trajectory through the professional mental health field has been punctuated by notable leadership roles. At Brighton Recovery Center, he demonstrated his clinical acumen and strategic finesse, first as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and then as Executive Director of Community Services, where he oversaw initiatives to support and uplift the broader community in the Greater Salt Lake City Area.
At The Arise Society, Zach’s role transcends conventional outreach. His innate ability to forge meaningful relationships infuses confidence and relatability into our therapy-driven, relationship-based approach. Zach’s infectious charisma and empathetic nature are cornerstones of his personal and professional interactions, fostering an environment where students are motivated and understood.
His passion for helping others is reflected in every conversation, workshop, and counseling session, guiding students to confront their challenges and cultivate the skills necessary for lasting success.
Beyond Clinical Walls
In addition to his pivotal role at The Arise Society, Zach continues to share his insights and knowledge as an Associate Instructor at the University of Utah. His dedication to mental health and education converges in this role, where he mentors the next generation of social workers and advocates.
Zach’s commitment to service extends into his personal life, where he has volunteered for nearly a decade as a teacher with the National Alliance for Mental Illness. His altruistic endeavors underscore a profound dedication to societal wellness and alleviating mental health stigma.
