The Arise Support Model

Academic, Therapeutic, Individual and Social Support

For young adults, the college setting creates real-life opportunities and challenges without the full responsibility of being completely independent.

Students may have previously been in other residential and therapeutic settings. While these methods can be successful, the physical, emotional, and social circumstances of this kind of therapy are manufactured. A constructed social environment provides support, although it limits a student’s ability to self- manage and utilize real life situations to test the skills they have acquired and their personal progress.

By living in a college community, students take the next step toward independence by developing relationships, sharing experiences, and learning. Combining this with individualized support, students thrive academically while also moving forward from and past old behaviors and patterns that have held them back from success.

Our Therapeutic Support Community (TSC) is unique in that our focus is on the process rather than the outcome. Students that work within our program follow steps that lead to personal growth and overall success. TSC also provides the establishment of cohesive and supportive relationships, where experiences may be shared and motivation is developed as a group.

Our 3 Focused Areas of Support Are

  1. Academic Support
  2. Clinical Therapeutic Support
  3. Individual and Social Support
