Clinical Therapeutic Support

Understanding Challenges and How to Move Forward

Therapeutic support is based on our hope that students are prepared to move on from past treatment and face the important questions in front of them such as:

  • Who am I?
  • What is my place in the world?
  • What are my passions and interests?
  • What should I be doing with my life?

Therapeutic work is an important part in the recovery process. Group therapy is a key aspect of our culture and through this experience our students not only learn the social skills of establishing and maintaining peer relationships, but also how these transfer into healthier family relationships. The fundamental objective of therapy is to release problems and move forward in the exploration of one’s identity. Students receive the following therapeutic services:

  • Initial blueprinting
  • Individualized treatment plans
  • Weekly individual therapy
  • Group therapy, with a focus on interpersonal and social development
  • Therapists with decades of experience
  • Family therapy and parent coaching
  • Customized medication management plans
  • Specific treatment modalities (DBT, CBT, EMDR, Neurofeedback)
  • Therapeutic parent/guardian support
  • Optional psychiatric services

Therapeutic work serves to help students understand and sort through the experiences and challenges that they face in college life. When our students follow the therapeutic process, they find success in understanding themselves and those around them.
